Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

FUNCTION & DUTIES:

Under the supervision of the HR Assistant Director, the Administrative Technician mostly performs recruitment-related tasks for the entire Board, including:

Staffing:

  • Prepare and release job postings internally and externally in collaboration with the HR Coordinators;
  • Provide support to local administrators in the job posting process;
  • Work with a firm to prepare marketing and advertising documents for recruitment efforts;
  • Receive and sort CVs based on job titles and analyze them according to established criteria;
  • Invite candidates for interviews;
  • Coordinate interviews (pre-employment test, interview questionnaire, CV copy, salary scale, function description, as well as room reservation);
  • Conduct pre-interview screening;
  • Organize examination and testing sessions;
  • Proceed with the verification of references;
  • Prepare and send all hiring letters & documents for professionals and support staff;
  • Open files for new employees and collect all necessary documentation;
  • Update the staffing list for support staff and professional employees;
  • Verify academic and professional qualifications of candidates;
  • Compile data and produce reports regarding the overall staffing management (vacant positions, postings, number of CVs received, etc.).

 Probation Period:

  • Inform the professionals and support staff about the probation process;
  • Prepare the training attestations and other relevant documents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College studies diploma in administrative techniques with a human resources option, or a diploma or certificate of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and two (2) years’ experience in staffing.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Knowledge and very good command of Word and Excel in a self-reliant way;
  • In depth knowledge of recruitment via professional social networks;
  • Be proactive in searching for potential candidates;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet short deadlines.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:

In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff / from $22.23 to $29.05 an hour depending on qualification and experience.

In addition to salary, you may be eligible to other benefits such as:

All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
