Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

FUNCTION & DUTIES:

Under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Director – Payroll, the Administration Technician is responsible for the management of key pay and benefits cases, and for assisting in the execution of the department’s global operations.

  • Plan, organize and execute various administrative and technical activities related to employee files in the payroll system;
  • Oversee the management of the SSQ group insurance;
  • Management of Retraite Québec pension funds;
  • Process forms and documentation related to the administration of benefits;
  • Inform employees about issues related to pension and benefits;
  • All other tasks requested by the immediate superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma (DEC) in Administration or Attestation of Studies recognized as equivalent by the school board.
  • Two years of experience in payroll and benefits management.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in Retraite Québec pension funds management;
  • Strong knowledge of payroll administration systems;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Willingness to travel occasionally;
  • Bilingual, English and French;
  • Practical knowledge of the GRICS software is considered an asset.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:

In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff / from $22.23 to $29.05 an hour depending on qualification and experience.

In addition to salary, you may be eligible to other benefits such as:

All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
