Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

FUNCTION & DUTIES:

Under the supervision of the Director of Material Resources, this person provides:

  • Technical support for the maintenance and operation of the school board’s buildings and premises.
  • Preparation and up keep of the board’s utilities usage and preventative maintenance schedules with relevant software.
  • Assisting in the coordinating of renovation projects including preparing specifications, drawing plans, cost estimates, purchasing material and other related duties.
  • Assisting in the administrative duties of the Material Resources and Purchasing Department.
  • Occasional travel to Nunavik.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Hold a Diploma of College Studies in building systems technology or in Architectural Technology or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • Fluency in at least two of the working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English)

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:

In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff / from $22,74 to $31,99 an hour depending on qualification and experience.

In addition to salary, you may be eligible to other benefits such as:

All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
