Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION:

  • English

TEACHING TOPICS:

  • Prepare students for the heating trade;
  • Train heating students to perform a variety of tasks (preventative inspections, tune-ups, replace and upgrade existing equipment, advise clients, repair oil-burning equipment used for motive power or heat production).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of oil-burning equipment in residential buildings;
  • Relevant training and a minimum of 5 years’ recent experience in the industry.
  • Competency card.

ASSETS:

  • Brevet d’enseignement or a teaching permit from the province of Quebec or from a Canadian province;
  • Fluency in two of the three working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, English, French);
  • Knowledge and teaching of MEES programs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Teachers’ Collective Agreement, from $42,431 to $82,585 annually depending on qualification and experience.

In addition to salary, you may be eligible to other benefits such as:

All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
